песни «Луна упала» и «Чайки» — шедевры нового стиля «АукцЫона». Почти загробные bossa nova, способные ворваться и не уходить годами из хит-парадов журнала Billboard. Наверное, «Чайки» — образец нового саунд-стиля и определенно лучшая песня года на русском языке... непривычно лиричная композиция, приятная атмосферная баллада с неяркой мелодией. Звучал несвойственный "Ы" гитарный перебор, и было похоже, что Федоров просто поет кавер на БГ. И ему это удивительно шло.

О саунде
Мартынов прав, говоря, что русский рок-н-ролл обошелся почти без саунда. Лучше, чем это делают американцы, никто не делает. Так же как в классической музыке ни один композитор мира не звучит как австрийский композитор. Такой плотной оркестровки, как у Брукнера, нет ни у кого. Мы бы, может, и хотели звучать как Radiohead, но не получится, да и ни к чему. У Radiohead тоже не выйдет музыка тяжелее, чем у Black Sabbath. И так далее. Англичане берут своим шармом, изысканностью. А в Америке любой Creedence Clearwater Revival имеет саунд, с которым бессмысленно тягаться, потому что есть упругость, гибкость и мощь любых трех инструментов у любого американского бэнда. Англичане тоже добились звука. Beatles ведь играли американскую музыку. Rolling Stones играют американский ритм-энд-блюз. Кто чего изобрел, тот тем и правит. У нас правит не саунд, а бардовское такое все. У них наоборот. Всегда интересно сочетание звучания и смысла текстов. У меня есть друг, русский иностранец, который с детства читал Элиота. И вот он говорит, что никогда бы не слушал русскую музыку, если бы не услышал однажды Егора Летова. На что я у него спросил, есть ли в англоязычном роке действительно интересные тексты. Только Леонард Коэн пишет интересно, отвечает. Pink Floyd, Том Уэйтс, King Crimson, Боб Дилан — не поэзия. Вот такой разрыв между англо-американской поэзией и рок-н-роллом, зато они занимались звуком, и у них есть саунд. Однажды я зашел в репетиционный зал, маленькую комнату с аппаратурой в 4 кВт, которой хватило бы на стадион. У меня чуть кишки не вывалились от звуковой волны, а я только взял аккорд. Рок-музыка, прежде всего, очень громкая вещь.
