21. На весах

In truitina mentis dubia
fluctuant contraria
lascivus amor et pudicitia.
Sed eligo quod video,
collum iugo prebeo:
ad iugum tamen suave transeo.

На весах моих чувств
перевешивают друг друга
сладострастие и скромность.
Но я выбираю то, что вижу,
и подставляю свою шею под ярмо:
я отдаюсь ярму.

21. On the scales

In truitina mentis dubia
fluctuant contraria
lascivus amor et pudicitia.

On the scales of my senses
outweigh each other
voluptuousness and modesty.
But I choose what I see
and turn my neck under the yoke:
I surrender to the yoke.
