Светит рамерийская звезда.
Снова мы оторваны от дома.
Пролегли парсеки и года
Между кораблем и космодромом.
Здесь у них покой и благодать,
А еще на нас они похожи.
Здесь, как в сказке, - жить да поживать…
Если сказку мы не уничтожим.
Верховный нам цель указал –
И вот мы летим прямо к цели,
Хотя бы не глядя в глаза
Тем, с кем совладать не сумели.
Ты учти, что здесь еще пока
Не видать Верховного со свитой.
Так что ныне все в твоих руках -
Местные, арзаки и менвиты.
Нужно только выучить язык,
Быть со всеми, успевать повсюду,
Кланяться менвитам, как привык,
Улыбаться им – и верить в чудо.
Верховный нам цель указал,
И все мы от этого пляшем,
И смотрим послушно в глаза
Невольным избранникам нашим.
Только не забыть глаза ребят -
Тех, кто первым прикоснулся к чуду,
На руках мозоли от лопат,
Мягкое сиянье изумрудов.
Вновь за бортом полетят года.
Но теперь все будет по-другому.
В небе рамерийская звезда
Светит, нас притягивая к дому.
Верховный нам путь указал
К победе, что очень приятно.
Пусть сам нам посмотрит в глаза,
Когда мы вернемся обратно.
