Еврейские глаза…
О чем они всё плачут,
О чем болит душа
В печали неземной?..
Куда они зовут,
И что их слезы значат,
И в чем их тайный смысл,
Начертанный судьбой?..
Их вечная судьба –
Дорога и надежда.
Тревога и печаль
Без края и конца...
Еврейские глаза –
Бездонно и безбрежно
В них льется тихий свет
Сиянием творца…

What they all cry ,
What hurts the soul
The unearthly sorrow ? ..
Where they call ,
And that their tears mean ,
And what is their secret meaning ,
Inscribed fate ? ..
Their eternal destiny -
The road and hope.
Anxiety and sorrow
Without edge and end ...
Jewish eyes -
Fathomless and boundless
They poured soft light
Radiance of the Creator ...
