1 Псалом Давида, не надписанный у евреев.
1 Блажен муж, иже не иде на совет нечестивых и на пути грешных не ста, и на седалищи губителей не седе,
(Блажен муж, который не пошёл на совет нечестивых, и на путь грешных не стал, и на седалище губителей не сел,)

2 но в законе Господни воля eго, и в законе Его поучится день и нощь.
(но в законе Господнем – воля его, и в закон Его вникать он будет день и ночь.)

3 И будет яко древо насажденное при исходищих вод, еже плод свой даст во время свое, и лист eго не отпадет, и вся, елика аще творит, успеет.
( И будет как дерево, посаженное при источниках вод, которое плод свой даст во время своё, и лист его не опадёт, и во всём, что бы ни делал, преуспеет.)

4 Не тако нечестивии, не тако, но яко прах, eгоже возметает ветр от лица земли.
( Не так нечестивые, не так, но как прах, что сметает ветер с лица земли.)

5 Сего ради не воскреснут нечестивии на суд, ниже грешницы в совет праведных.
( Потому не восстанут нечестивые на суде, как и грешники – в совете праведных,)

6 Яко весть Господь путь праведных, и путь нечестивых погибнет.
(ибо знает Господь путь праведных, а путь нечестивых погибнет.)

1 Blessed is the man who does not go to the counsel of the wicked, and not a hundred in the way of sinners, and not gray in the saddle of destroyers,
(Blessed is the man who did not go to the counsel of the wicked, and did not take the path of sinners, and did not sit on the seat of the destroyers,)

2 but in the law of the Lord is his will, and in his law day and night will be learned.
(but in the law of the Lord is his will, and he will delve into his law day and night.)

3 And it will be like a tree planted by the outgoing waters, the hedgehog will give its fruit in its season, and its leaf will not fall away, and all the tree that works will be in time.
(And it will be like a tree planted by fountains of waters, which will give its fruit in its season, and its leaf will not fall, and in everything that it does it will prosper.)

4 Not like wickedness, not like that, but like dust, which the wind sweeps away from the face of the earth.
(Not so wicked, not so, but like the dust that the wind sweeps from the face of the earth.)

5 For this reason, the wicked will not be resurrected for judgment, below the sinner in the council of the righteous.
(Therefore, the wicked will not rise up in judgment, as well as the sinners in the council of the righteous,)

6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked will perish.
(for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.)
