Today I want to remember the words of Ap. Paul, which He speaks about himself and about his own ministry: But by the grace of God I am what I am; and His grace in me was not in vain, but I labored more than all of them: not I, however, but the grace of God, which is with me. 1 Cor. 15:10. Here you can see the judgment of the Apostle about the meaning and operation of the grace of God in his life and ministry. He does not consider himself or his gifts to be the cause or basis of the success of his ministry; he, as it were, separates himself from grace, exalting it and diminishing it himself. And this is a very valuable lesson for us! We live trying to learn how to serve God and are often upset and disappointed that we are not doing well. We pray, we are jealous, we have some vision of what we are called to, but we do not have a "schedule", we do not have an understanding of how long this or that will take, and this is quite consistent with Scripture, where the Lord Himself tells us: not yours it is a matter of knowing the times or seasons that the Father has put in His power. Acts. 1: 7. We do not know how long it takes ourselves to prepare ourselves so that in humility we can give God all the glory for what He intends to do through us. Therefore, longing arises, as it is written: Hope, which does not come true for a long time, torments the heart. Prov. 13:12. And while we languish, we have a danger (and the enemy is pushing us to this), to start looking for the "problem" in ourselves. And of course we're not perfect! We are "in the process" of salvation, so we still have something to be saved from! But in order to move, in order to develop spiritually, it is so important for us to be focused not on what our human nature is, but on what the Lord has already done and is doing in us, on that new man who is being created in us in the image of Christ. And the same Ap. Paul writes that we need to learn not to know anyone in the flesh! From now on, we know no one in the flesh. 2 Cor. 5:16. Thank God that we have some experience of ministering to each other in spiritual gifts. When you pray (especially for a complete stranger), you often understand his vocation, his purpose in the Kingdom of God, experience the love that the Lord has for him and see how difficult it is for him to accept it! Because he (or she) himself looks at himself according to the flesh, perceives himself according to the flesh and correlates himself not with the new that God speaks of, but with that which was born from the father and mother of the earth. And in order to overcome this, in order to see yourself new, it is so important to accept this instruction about grace! Where we started this meditation is Ap. Paul “separates” himself from what grace accomplishes in his life and ministry and says that the new and the Divine in himself, that he “is”, is an action and merit exclusively of grace. And this is difficult for us. We want approval, we want to be respected, to be reckoned with. These are normal “basic” desires of a person, but there is a very thin line between them and pride, which we overcome without noticing, when we already “protect”, defend our importance! And this can have very sad consequences for us! For example, is it good when our words are perceived as the words of God Himself? It is both good and very dangerous for us if we do not have the revelation of grace. The advice of Ahithophel, which he gave, at that time was considered as if someone was asking for guidance from God. 2 Kings 16:23. And Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been fulfilled, and saddled a donkey, and gathered himself up, and went to his house, to his city, and made a will to his house, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in his father's tomb. 2 Kings 17:23. And so that our ministry does not destroy us and the Lord wants to teach us that it is not we who serve, but the grace that is with us. Is it not about this that the Lord says to his disciples: He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me. Onion. 10:16. To experience this rejection and not break down, we need a revelation of grace. And here there is one very important caveat: Although it is grace that bears good fruits and it is she who does everything in our lives that pleases the Lord, but if we are inactive, then it does not “work” either! Grace works only in "tandem" with us. She will not act "for us" or "for us." We need to see this as a whole picture, to see how we act, trying to serve God, making mistakes, having “crooked” motives, and at the same time and independently of this, God's grace acts, bearing good fruits for God. But if we stop focusing on our mistakes, then its action also stops. That is why the enemy is trying to convince us that it is better for us not to do anything in order not to make more mistakes. But if we see this action of grace, performed not by us, but simultaneously with us, then we will continue and the further, the less mistakes we will make, because we will learn from her! The longer I live, the longer I try to serve the Lord, the more I am convinced that problems come into people's lives not because of mistakes they have made, but because of |
