И Моисею сказал Он: взойди к Господу ты и Аарон, Надав и Авиуд и семьдесят из старейшин Израилевых, и поклонитесь издали;
Моисей один пусть приблизится к Господу, а они пусть не приближаются, и народ пусть не восходит с ним.
И пришел Моисей и пересказал народу все слова Господни и все законы. И отвечал весь народ в один голос, и сказали: все, что сказал Господь, сделаем.
И написал Моисей все слова Господни и, встав рано поутру, поставил под горою жертвенник и двенадцать камней, по числу двенадцати колен Израилевых;
и послал юношей из сынов Израилевых, и принесли они всесожжения, и заклали тельцов в мирную жертву Господу.
Моисей, взяв половину крови, влил в чаши, а другою половиною окропил жертвенник;
и взял книгу завета и прочитал вслух народу, и сказали они: все, что сказал Господь, сделаем и будем послушны.
И взял Моисей крови и окропил народ, говоря: вот кровь завета, который Господь заключил с вами о всех словах сих.
Потом взошел Моисей и Аарон, Надав и Авиуд и семьдесят из старейшин Израилевых,
и видели Бога Израилева; и под ногами Его нечто подобное работе из чистого сапфира и, как самое небо, ясное.
И Он не простер руки Своей на избранных из сынов Израилевых: они видели Бога, и ели и пили.
И сказал Господь Моисею: взойди ко Мне на гору и будь там; и дам тебе скрижали каменные, и закон и заповеди, которые Я написал для научения их.
И встал Моисей с Иисусом, служителем своим, и пошел Моисей на гору Божию,
а старейшинам сказал: оставайтесь здесь, доколе мы не возвратимся к вам; вот Аарон и Ор с вами; кто будет иметь дело, пусть приходит к ним.
И взошел Моисей на гору, и покрыло облако гору,
и слава Господня осенила гору Синай; и покрывало ее облако шесть дней, а в седьмой день Господь воззвал к Моисею из среды облака.
Вид же славы Господней на вершине горы был пред глазами сынов Израилевых, как огонь поядающий.
Моисей вступил в средину облака и взошел на гору; и был Моисей на горе сорок дней и сорок ночей.

And He said to Moses: Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abiud, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship afar off;
Let Moses alone draw near to the Lord, but let them not draw near, and let the people not go up with him.
And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the laws. And all the people answered with one voice, and said, All that the Lord has said, we will do.
And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and getting up early in the morning, set up an altar and twelve stones under the mountain, according to the number of the twelve tribes of Israel.
And he sent young men of the children of Israel, and they offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed the calves as a peace offering to the Lord.
Moses, taking half of the blood, poured it into cups, and sprinkled the other half on the altar;
And he took the book of the covenant and read it in the ears of the people, and they said: Everything that the Lord has said, we will do and we will be obedient.
And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, saying, This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you concerning all these words.
Then Moses and Aaron ascended, Nadab and Abiud, and seventy of the elders of Israel,
and saw the God of Israel; and under His feet is something like a work of pure sapphire and, like the sky itself, clear.
And He did not stretch out His hand on the elect of the children of Israel: they saw God and ate and drank.
And the Lord said to Moses: Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, and the law and commandments that I have written to teach them.
And Moses arose with Jesus his servant, and Moses went to the mountain of God,
And he said to the elders: Stay here until we return to you; here is Aaron and Hor with you; whoever has business, let him come to them.
And Moses went up the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain,
and the glory of the Lord overshadowed Mount Sinai; and a cloud covered her for six days, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from the midst of the cloud.
And the sight of the glory of the Lord on the top of the mountain was like a consuming fire before the eyes of the children of Israel.
Moses entered the middle of the cloud and climbed the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
