Начало Евангелия Иисуса Христа, Сына Божия,
как написано у пророков: вот, Я посылаю Ангела Моего пред лицем Твоим, который приготовит путь Твой пред Тобою.
Глас вопиющего в пустыне: приготовьте путь Господу, прямыми сделайте стези Ему.
Явился Иоанн, крестя в пустыне и проповедуя крещение покаяния для прощения грехов.
И выходили к нему вся страна Иудейская и Иерусалимляне, и крестились от него все в реке Иордане, исповедуя грехи свои.
Иоанн же носил одежду из верблюжьего волоса и пояс кожаный на чреслах своих, и ел акриды и дикий мед.
И проповедывал, говоря: идет за мною Сильнейший меня, у Которого я недостоин, наклонившись, развязать ремень обуви Его;
я крестил вас водою, а Он будет крестить вас Духом Святым.
И было в те дни, пришел Иисус из Назарета Галилейского и крестился от Иоанна в Иордане.
И когда выходил из воды, тотчас увидел Иоанн разверзающиеся небеса и Духа, как голубя, сходящего на Него.
И глас был с небес: Ты Сын Мой возлюбленный, в Котором Мое благоволение.
Немедленно после того Дух ведет Его в пустыню.
И был Он там в пустыне сорок дней, искушаемый сатаною, и был со зверями; и Ангелы служили Ему.
После же того, как предан был Иоанн, пришел Иисус в Галилею, проповедуя Евангелие Царствия Божия
и говоря, что исполнилось время и приблизилось Царствие Божие: покайтесь и веруйте в Евангелие.
Проходя же близ моря Галилейского, увидел Симона и Андрея, брата его, закидывающих сети в море, ибо они были рыболовы.
И сказал им Иисус: идите за Мною, и Я сделаю, что вы будете ловцами человеков.
И они тотчас, оставив свои сети, последовали за Ним.
И, пройдя оттуда немного, Он увидел Иакова Зеведеева и Иоанна, брата его, также в лодке починивающих сети;
и тотчас призвал их. И они, оставив отца своего Зеведея в лодке с работниками, последовали за Ним.
И приходят в Капернаум; и вскоре в субботу вошел Он в синагогу и учил.
И дивились Его учению, ибо Он учил их, как власть имеющий, а не как книжники.
В синагоге их был человек, одержимый духом нечистым, и вскричал:
оставь! что Тебе до нас, Иисус Назарянин? Ты пришел погубить нас! знаю Тебя, кто Ты, Святый Божий.
Но Иисус запретил ему, говоря: замолчи и выйди из него.
Тогда дух нечистый, сотрясши его и вскричав громким голосом, вышел из него.
И все ужаснулись, так что друг друга спрашивали: что это? что это за новое учение, что Он и духам нечистым повелевает со властью, и они повинуются Ему?
И скоро разошлась о Нем молва по всей окрестности в Галилее.
Выйдя вскоре из синагоги, пришли в дом Симона и Андрея, с Иаковом и Иоанном.
Теща же Симонова лежала в горячке; и тотчас говорят Ему о ней.
Подойдя, Он поднял ее, взяв ее за руку; и горячка тотчас оставила ее, и она стала служить им.
При наступлении же вечера, когда заходило солнце, приносили к Нему всех больных и бесноватых.
И весь город собрался к дверям.
И Он исцелил многих, страдавших различными болезнями; изгнал многих бесов, и не позволял бесам говорить, что они знают, что Он Христос.
А утром, встав весьма рано, вышел и удалился в пустынное место, и там молился.
Симон и бывшие с ним пошли за Ним
и, найдя Его, говорят Ему: все ищут Тебя.
Он говорит им: пойдем в ближние селения и города, чтобы Мне и там проповедывать, ибо Я для того пришел.
И Он проповедывал в синагогах их по всей Галилее и изгонял бесов.
Приходит к Нему прокаженный и, умоляя Его и падая пред Ним на колени, говорит Ему: если хочешь, можешь меня очистить.
Иисус, умилосердившись над ним, простер руку, коснулся его и сказал ему: хочу, очистись.
После сего слова проказа тотчас сошла с него, и он стал чист.
И, посмотрев на него строго, тотчас отослал его
и сказал ему: смотри, никому ничего не говори, но пойди, покажись священнику и принеси за очищение твое, что повелел Моисей, во свидетельство им.
А он, выйдя, начал провозглашать и рассказывать о происшедшем, так что Иисус не мог уже явно войти в город, но находился вне, в местах пустынных. И приходили к Нему отовсюду.

Beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
as it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
John did baptize in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
And there went out unto him all the land of Judea and Jerusalem, and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
John was clothed with camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist, and ate locusts and wild honey.
And he preached, saying, There cometh after me is mightier than I, whom I am not worthy to stoop down and untie his shoes;
I have baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
And it was in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
And when out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.
And a voice came from heaven: Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Immediately the Spirit drove him into the wilderness.
And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
Now after that John was put, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe the gospel.
Walking by the sea of ​​Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
And Jesus said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
And going a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a boat mending their nets;
and he called them. And they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit, and cried out:
Leave! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him.
And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, What is this? what is this new doctrine, that He commands even the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey him?
And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region of Galilee.
Coming out of the synagogue, they came to the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
But Simon's mother-in-law lay sick with a fever; and anon they tell him of her.
Approaching, he lifted her up, taking her by the hand; and immediately the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
At evening, when the sun set, they brought to him all the sick and demon-possessed.
And the whole city was gathered together at the door.
And he healed many suffering from various diseases; I drove out many demons, and did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew that he was Christ.
And in the morning, rising very early, I went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Simon and those who were with him followed after him
and having found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
He said to them: Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, for I have come.
And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.
There comes a leper to him, beseeching him, and falling on his knees before him, said to him: If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Jesus had compassion on him, stretched out his hand, touched him, and said unto him, I will.
After this speech immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
And looking at him severely, immediately sent him
and I said to him: See thou do not say anything, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
And he went out and began to proclaim it and to talk about what happened, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was outside in desert places. And they came to him from everywhere.
