Усердно от мытницы к звавшему Владыце Христу,/ явльшуся на земли человеком за благость,/ Тому последовав, апостол избранный явился еси/ и благовестник Евангелия вселенней велегласен./ Сего ради чтим честную память твою, Матфее богоглаголиве,/ моли Милостиваго Бога,// да грехов оставление подаст душам нашим.
