Символ Веры
Перед следующим моментом — исповеданием Символа Веры, диакон возглашает: “Двери, двери, премудростью вонмем”. Возглас: “Двери, двери” в христианской Церкви в древности относился к преддверникам храма, чтобы они тщательнее наблюдали за дверьми, дабы в это время не вошел кто-нибудь из оглашенных или кающихся, или вообще из лиц, не имеющих права присутствовать при совершении Таинства Причащения.
А слова “премудростию вонмем” относились к стоящим во храме, чтобы они заградили бы двери своей души от житейских греховных мыслей. Символ Веры поется, чтобы засвидетельствовать перед Богом и Церковью, что все стоящие во храме суть верные, имеющие право присутствовать на Литургии и приступить к Причащению Св. Тайн.
Во время пения Символа Веры, открывается завеса Царских врат в знак того, что только под условием веры может быть для нас открыт Престол благодати, откуда мы приемлем Святые Таинства. Во время пения Символа Веры священник берет покровец “воздух”, и колеблет им воздух над Святыми Дарами, то есть опускает и подымает покровец над ними. Это веяние воздуха означает приосенение Св. Даров силою и благодатию Св. Духа. Затем Церковь приводит молящихся к молитвенному созерцанию самого Таинства. Начинается главнейший момент Литургии — освящение Святых Даров.

And the words “we behold with wisdom” referred to those standing in the temple, so that they would bar the doors of their souls from everyday sinful thoughts. The Creed is sung to testify before God and the Church that all those who stand in the church are faithful, who have the right to attend the Liturgy and begin Communion of the Holy Mysteries.
During the singing of the Symbol of Faith, the curtain of the Royal Doors opens as a sign that only under the condition of faith can the Throne of Grace be opened for us, from where we accept the Holy Sacraments. During the singing of the Creed, the priest takes the “air” shroud, and vibrates the air over the Holy Gifts with it, that is, he lowers and raises the shroud over them. This breeze of air signifies the suspension of the Holy Gifts by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit. Then the Church leads the worshipers to prayerful contemplation of the Sacrament itself. The main moment of the Liturgy begins - the consecration of the Holy Gifts.
