Начальники поколений левитских пришли к Елеазару священнику и к Иисусу, сыну Навину, и к начальникам поколений сынов Израилевых,
и говорили им в Силоме, в земле Ханаанской, и сказали: Господь повелел чрез Моисея дать нам города для жительства и предместья их для скота нашего.
И дали сыны Израилевы левитам из уделов своих, по повелению Господню, сии города с предместьями их.
Вышел жребий племенам Каафовым; и досталось по жребию сынам Аарона священника, левитам, от колена Иудина, и от колена Симеонова, и от колена Вениаминова, тринадцать городов;
а прочим сынам Каафа от племен колен Ефремова, и от колена Данова, и от половины колена Манассиина, по жребию, досталось десять городов;
сынам Гирсоновым от племен колена Иссахарова, и от колена Асирова, и от колена Неффалимова, и от половины колена Манассиина в Васане, по жребию, досталось тринадцать городов;
сынам Мерариным, по их племенам, от колена Рувимова, от колена Гадова и от колена Завулонова двенадцать городов.
И отдали сыны Израилевы левитам сии города с предместьями их, как повелел Господь чрез Моисея, по жребию.
От колена сынов Иудиных, и от колена сынов Симеоновых, дали города, которые здесь названы по имени:
сынам Аарона, из племен Каафовых, из сынов Левия, так как жребий их был первый,
дали Кириаф-Арбы, отца Енакова, иначе Хеврон, на горе Иудиной, и предместья его вокруг его;
а поле сего города и села его отдали в собственность Халеву, сыну Иефонниину.
Итак сынам Аарона священника дали город убежища для убийцы Хеврон и предместья его, Ливну и предместья ее,
Иаттир и предместья его, Ештемо и предместья его,
Холон и предместья его, Давир и предместья его,
Аин и предместья его, Ютту и предместья ее, Беф-Шемеш и предместья его: девять городов от двух колен сих;
а от колена Вениаминова: Гаваон и предместья его, Геву и предместья ее,
Анафоф и предместья его, Алмон и предместья его: четыре города.
Всех городов сынам Аароновым, священникам, досталось тринадцать городов с предместьями их.
И племенам сынов Каафовых, левитов, прочим из сынов Каафовых, по жребию их, достались города от колена Ефремова;
дали им город убежища для убийцы Сихем и предместья его, на горе Ефремовой, Гезер и предместья его,
Кивцаим и предместья его, Беф-Орон и предместья его: четыре города;
от колена Данова: Елфеке и предместья его, Гиввефон и предместья его,
Аиалон и предместья его, Гаф-Риммон и предместья его: четыре города;
от половины колена Манассиина: Фаанах и предместья его, Гаф-Риммон и предместья его: два города.
Всех городов с предместьями их прочим племенам сынов Каафовых досталось десять.
А сынам Гирсоновым, из племен левитских дали: от половины колена Манассиина город убежища для убийцы Голан в Васане и предместья его, и Беештеру и предместья ее: два города;
от колена Иссахарова: Кишион и предместья его, Давраф и предместья его,
Иармуф и предместья его, Ен-Ганним и предместья его: четыре города;
от колена Асирова: Мишал и предместья его, Авдон и предместья его,
Хелкаф и предместья его, Рехов и предместья его: четыре города;
от колена Неффалимова город убежища для убийцы Кедес в Галилее и предместья его, Хамоф-Дор и предместья его, Карфан и предместья его: три города.
Всех городов сынам Гирсоновым, по племенам их, досталось тринадцать городов с предместьями их.
Племенам сынов Мерариных, остальным левитам, дали: от колена Завулонова Иокнеам и предместья его, Карфу и предместья ее,
Димну и предместья ее, Нагалал и предместья его: четыре города;
от колена Рувимова Бецер и предместья его, Иааца и предместья ее,
Кедемоф и предместья его, Мефааф и предместья его: четыре города;
от колена Гадова: города убежища для убийцы Рамоф в Галааде и предместья его, Маханаим и предместья его,
Есевон и предместья его, Иазер и предместья его: всех городов четыре.
Всех городов сынам Мерариным по племенам их, остальным племенам левитским, по жребию досталось двенадцать городов.
Всех городов левитских среди владения сынов Израилевых было сорок восемь городов с предместьями их.

The heads of the Levites came to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the children of Israel,
and spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.
And the children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.
Lot came out for the families of Kohath; and went by lot to the sons of Aaron the priest, of the Levites, from the tribe of Judah, and from the tribe of Simeon, and from the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities;
and other sons of Kohath by tribes tribes of Ephraim and from the tribe of Dan, and the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, got ten cities;
Gershonites by tribes, the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities;
the sons of Merari, according to their families, from the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad and from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
And the children of Israel gave the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.
From the tribe of Judah, and from the tribe of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name:
the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, of the sons of Levi, since their fate was the first,
given the city of Arba the father of Anak, Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, and its suburbs around it;
and the field of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
So the sons of Aaron the priest they gave the city of refuge for the slayer, Hebron and its suburbs, and Libnah with her,
Jattir and its suburbs, Eshtemoh and its suburbs,
Holon and its suburbs, Debir and its suburbs,
Ain and its suburbs, Jutta and its suburbs, Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs: nine cities from those two tribes;
and of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its suburbs, Geba and its suburbs,
Anathoth and its suburbs, Almon and its suburbs: four cities.
All the cities of the sons of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, by lot to them, went to the city of the tribe of Ephraim;
gave them the city of refuge for the slayer, Shechem and its suburbs in the hill country of Ephraim, Gezer and its suburbs,
Kivtsaim and its suburbs, and Beth-Horon and its suburbs: four cities;
from the tribe of Dan: Elfeke and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs,
Aijalon and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs: four cities;
of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs: two cities.
All the cities with their other families of the children got ten Kohathites.
And the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites were given: from the half tribe of Manasseh, the city of refuge for the slayer, Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Beeshteru and its suburbs: two cities;
of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its suburbs, Daberath and its suburbs,
Jarmuth and its suburbs, En-Gannim and its suburbs: four cities;
of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its suburbs, Abdon and its suburbs,
Helkath and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs: four cities;
from the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge for the slayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, Hamof-Dor and its suburbs, Karfan and its suburbs: three cities.
All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities and their suburbs.
Families of the sons of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun it Carth and its suburbs,
Dimna and its suburbs, Nahalal and its suburbs: four cities;
of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its suburbs, Jahaz and its suburbs,
Kedemoth and its suburbs, Mephaath and its suburbs: four cities;
from the tribe of Gad the city of refuge for the slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, Mahanaim and its suburbs,
Heshbon and its suburbs, Jazer and its suburbs: four cities in all.
All the cities of the children of Merari by their families, the rest of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.
All the cities of the Levites, was forty-eight cities with their possession among the children of Israel.
