1. Stars on 45 – Intro (1981). У Stars on 45 несколько аранжировок их «фирменной темы» и эта моя самая любимая.
2. Dynasty - I Don't Wanna Be a Freak (But I Can’t Help Myself) (1979). Хит с дебютного альбома калифорнийской группы Dynasty называется забавно – «Не хочу быть фриком (но ничего с собой не могу поделать»? В состав группы входили две вокалистки Нидра Бирд и Линда Кариер и басист Кевин Спэнсэр.
3. Lipps Inc. – Funky Town (1980). Классное интро и очень неплохой проигрыш в середине. Lipps Inc.- дуэт, в который входили музыкант и продюсер Стивен Гринберг и вокалистка Синтия Джонсон, образовался в США в 1979 году. В марте 80-го вышел сингл Funky Town, который имел оглушительный успех и 9 недель был №1 в хит-парадах США.
4. Chic – Le Freak (1978). Один из самых ярких клубных хитов диско 78-го года. Интересна история создания этой песни. Будучи уже достаточно популярной группой, ребята из Chic были приглашены выступить на Новогоднюю вечеринку в самый известный ночной клуб Нью-Йорка - Studio 54. Однако, когда Сhic приехали в клуб, оказалось, что их нет в списках приглашенных и охрана наотрез отказалась их пропускать. Никакие объяснения и уговоры не помогли. В ярости музыканты вернулись в свою домашнюю студию и записали мелодию, которая была названа «Fuck Off!». Когда же решено было выпустить сингл, то название пришлось заменить на более нейтральное «Le Freak». Видимо в 78-м цензура была на много жестче чем сейчас.

6. Village people – YMCA (1978). – Эта песня в конце 70-х не звучала только из утюгов. Диджеи играли ее на радио, в барах и клубах. И не смотря на то, что она многим уже надоела, YMCA все равно остается одним из гимнов диско.
7. Sticky Fingers – Wastin’ My Love (1978). Проект Sticky Fingers, был записан на одном из самых ярких диско лейблов Нью-Йорка - Prelude Records. Компания выпускала свою продукцию в основном на 12-ти дюймовом виниле, что позволяло уместить на одной стороне пластинки композицию длиной в 10-12 минут, что чаще всего являлось удлиненной версией песни, предназначенной для проигрывания в клубе.
8. Musique - Keep on Jumpin' (1978). Ещё один великолепный пример клубного диско. Снова продукция Prelude Records. Продюсер Патрик Адамс.
9. Saturday Night Band – Come on Dance, Dance (1978). В середине этого трека есть шикарный проигрыш духовой секции и вообще она полностью в духе nightlife New York disco style. И опять постарались ребята из Prelude records.
10. Gino Soccio – Dancer (1979). Эта запись канадского музыканта и продюсера Gino Soccio была в 79-м году на вершине танцевальных чартов США. Она полна драматизма и в ней как будто чувствуется какое-то нарастающее напряжение: «Dancer – try to take it higher… You reach up higher to the sky!»
11. Blondie – Heart of Glass (1978). Многим известна эта запись и эта группа, так что не буду зря распространяться! Хорошая мелодия. Очень легкая и воздушная.
12. Kool and the Gang – Tonight’s the night (1979). Столпы американской поп-диско-фанк музыки. Что можно про них сказать? Конечно они классные!
13. KC and the Sunshine Band – I’m Your Boogie Man (1976). Ещё одна очень популярная и уважаемая американская группа 70-х годов, несомненно, оказавшая большое влияние на становление диско.
14. Skyy – Here’s to You (1980). Группа Skyy - протеже ещё одного знаменитого Нью-Йоркского диско лэйбла Salsoul Records.
15. ELO – Last Train to London (1979). Сумасшедший риф и бархатный голос Джеффа Линна делают классную мелодию ещё лучше.
16. Amii Stewart - Knock on Wood (1979). Визитная карточка диско, и тоже всем известная. Но не многие знают, что это кавер версия песни Эдди Флойда 1966 года.

4. Chic - Le Freak (1978). One of the brightest club hits of the Disco of the 78th year. An interesting story of creating this song. Being a fairly popular group, the guys from Chic were invited to perform on a New Year's Eve party to the most famous New York nightclub - Studio 54. However, when Shic came to the club, it turned out that they were not in the lists of invited and the protection of them, flatly refused to skip them. No explanations and persuasion helped. In rage, the musicians returned to their home studio and recorded the melody that was named "Fuck Off!". When it was decided to release a single, the name had to be replaced with a more neutral "Le Freak". Apparently in the 78th censorship was much tougher than now.
5. DEXTER WANSEL - I'LL NEVER FORGET (1979). Continuing the theme Studio 54: "I Will Never Forget The First Night That We Met On The Floor Studio 54" ...
6. Village People - YMCA (1978). - This song in the late 70s did not sound only from irons. DJs played her on the radio, in bars and clubs. And despite the fact that it is already tired of many, YMCA still remains one of the Hymns Disco.
7. Sticky Fingers - Wastin 'My Love (1978). The Sticky Fingers project was recorded on one of the most vivid disco New York labels - Prelude Records. The company produced its products mainly on a 12-inch vinyl, which made it possible to fit on one side of the plate a composition of 10-12 minutes long, which was most often an extended version of the song designed to play in the club.

13. KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND - I'M YOUR BOOGIE MAN (1976). Another very popular and respected American group of the 70s is undoubtedly a great influence on the formation of disco.
14. Skyy - Here's to You (1980). Skyy Group is a protege of another famous New York disco Label Salsoul Records.
15. ELO - Last Train To London (1979). The crazy reef and velvet voice Jeff Lynn make a cool ringtone even better.
16. Amii Stewart - Knock on Wood (1979). Disco business card, and also known to everyone. But not many know that this is the driver version of the song Eddie Floyd 1966.
