Since the utter charm of joy has pured
My unquiet dreams, my misery

I frightened turned my burdened head

How many exhausting nights have I endured
Before the pure magic of joy cleared
My restless dreams, my suffering.
How sweet it would be to share it with you.
But I couldn't bear this smile
That made my dark solitude so easy
And instead in fear I turned my burdened head away
And hid in the shadow of oblivion.
But, awakened in the midst of his heavy sleep,
I was next to you a night alien
And when I really swore more
Careless not to dream on the royal bed,
Then you spoke to me with hatred on your face.
And that's why I didn't keep my oath to you
Even when your shadow covered me
I closed my eyes in bliss.
