На голландца немедленно посыпался шквал восторженных рецензий, а пластинку критики поставили в один ряд с работами Global Communicaton, Aphex Twin и Biosphere. В том же году Kettel выпускает бутлег-винил «Making Gentle Love To Famous Ladies» со своим прочтением нескольких поп-хитов – к нему под нож попадают Бьорк, Destiny’s Child и Дженифер Лопес. Таланты голландца не остались незамеченными – Mute Records сделал голландцу предложение записать ремикс на композицию Depeche Mode “Newborn”, который позже увидел свет на сингле «A Pain That I’m Used To».

The Dutchman immediately received a flurry of enthusiastic reviews, and critics put the disc on a par with the works of Global Communicaton, Aphex Twin and Biosphere. In the same year, Kettel released the bootleg vinyl "Making Gentle Love To Famous Ladies" with its own readings of several pop hits - including Bjork, Destiny's Child and Jennifer Lopez. The Dutchman's talents did not go unnoticed - Mute Records made the Dutchman an offer to record a remix of the Depeche Mode composition “Newborn”, which was later released on the single “A Pain That I’m Used To”.
