Chorus:
Chorus.
Hero City.
A city built with sweat and blood
Home to three revolutions
A city on bones and a swamp
Ordinary people live here
Whose will has become iron
In the most difficult years of the blockade.
They found the strength to remain human
At a time when life became hell.
Sacrificing yourself to win
Dying at the front and in factories
They gave life to my generation
Overcoming despair, loss and hunger.
Until the last day they will remember
125 grams of blockade bread.
Brittle ice on the road of life
Under the sky captured by the fascists.
Chorus:
Hero City! X3
Your feat is in our memory.
When politicians betrayed them
Making this war real
Soldiers, workers and partisans
They blocked the enemy's path with themselves.
900 days in a vice
Leningraders stood up for their lives.
Blockades know not by hearsay
What cruelty fascism is capable of.
Chorus.
Years go by, a new century is in the yard,
But the echo of war does not die away
Bombing scars on the walls of houses
The forests of the nameless graves are full.
We will always remember these people:
Women, men, old people and children,
Whose lives were disfigured by a terrible war.
Eternal memory in our hearts!
