    People have gone mad
Trains to pakistan are being looted
    & occupants slaughtered.
We all knew carnage was in the offing,
    So did mountbatten
The british empire, which tried to build india over centuries, can never live down this great tragedy.

    Not a nomad by nature
    In a village with strangers
    Some people are patient
    Some seething and waiting
    Some stuck into trauma
There not a fan of the gora
    From gujrat to GOA
    The raja's got poorer
    The system was cast
    And only status can pass
    And I'm painting the past
    Cause the colours still last
    Deep divide till they conquered
    They stole resources then squandered
Then they sit back and ponder
That these pakis need civil minds
Brittle guys really need to be civilised
    Let's minimise their pride
So they find the divine in the white frame of mind
Like it's good for their health
Thats how we move in the stealth
Until they really need the commonwealth
Tensions would rise until the colonise sighed
The empire cried then retreated to hide
Then made the divide that would alter our lives
With borders & lines that killed a nation of minds

In this chaos, millions of refugees were struggling to get to india or pakistan
Thousands of others were doing their best to prevent them
    Murdering them by the hundred
    But death is nothing
There are things more terrible than death
10 million people are displaced in the partition of india

It's a civil war say no more
Get to where you need to go
    Killed neighbours from the village
Faith had made them to a villian
Run over bodies to take a chance on the train
    Some people had stayed
    Though their families were slain
All were displaced in pursuit of a place
    That they could call home
    Some were lost all alone
    And their haunted in place
They got the trauma in bones
Asleep on the floor you hear the pain in the moans
    So poor
    Then britain opened doors
They wanna help us rebuild, have money & more
More division for their citizens to keep their vision in a mental prison
While they just continue their mission
    So we oblige
    Ride, and were hopeful
But the locals liken us to a locust
Black & brown plagues living in our state they would say
    Times have changed
    Some just wanna save face
Stay in the same state in the same place
Where they answer to the one
With the same old race case
A sad state that we forgot our fate
And all we did to make britain great.

By may, attempts to create a unified india had failed
    Ghandi retreats from political life
Mohammed ali jinnah then leader of the muslim league
& jawaharlal nehru of the indian national congress concede to divide india
Fearing the total loss of control
Mountbatten brings forth the transfer of power, to august
Two nations will be created by partition
    The secular india
& a new home land for india's muslims
    Pakistan
