Она выходила на EP так и названном 'Joe Preston' - это серия мини-альбомов каждого из участников состава The Melvins данного временного периода выпущенная конторой Boner Records (причем идея - прямая отсылка к аналогичной задумке группы Kiss) - и содержащем, кроме самой Hands First Flower, также два достаточно коротких трека - невнятное двухминутное интро The Eagle Has Landed (содержащее звуки какого-то семейного праздненства на открытом воздухе) и двух с половиной минутную Bricklebrit (разговорный сэмпл в начале, более традиционный рифф и ужасные программированные ударные коими будет 'славиться' все будущее творчество Джо в его сольном проекте Thrones). Интересно, что кроме самого Джо Престона, в составе указаны также некие Solty Green и Denial Fiend, но это не более чем псевдонимы Престона.
Hands First Flower начинается с семпла из фильма 'Апокалипсис Сегодня': 'Pyle... Little arms'.
