Легенда есть, что за много морей
В океане остров лежит.
И на острове том, среди диких лесов,
Большая гора стоит.
На самой вершине, средь облаков,
Где ветры сдувают вмиг,
Чернее чёрной ночной темноты
Чёрный камень стоит.

И если в душе у тебя чёрно,
И страдаешь ты всегда,
Ты любишь её, а она тебя – нет,
И не будет любить никогда,
Иди скорей и руки сложи
На камень чёрный тот,
И вся чёрнота из души твоей
На камень тот перейдёт.

Услышал эту легенду и я,
И отправился в дальний путь.
И плавал долго я по морям
Не мог ни на миг отдохнуть.
Домой я плыл, уже когда
Отчаялся искать,
И вот наконец увидел я:
Тот остров нельзя не узнать.

К нему скорее я поспешил –
Желанная цель впереди.
Не рифы подводные, ничего
Не смущало меня в пути.
Уж к берегу мой корабль пристал,
И вспомнил я дом родной.
Кругом ни души, лишь скалы стоят
Да вечно шумит прибой.

И вот я подхожу к горе,
Начинаю вверх ползти;
Труден подъём, но вот и конец
Долгого пути.
И я всхожу на вершину горы
Подо мною остров лежит.
Смотрю вокруг: за моей спиной
Чёрный камень стоит.

К камню я медленно подхожу –
Замирает все во мне
Осторожно на камень я руки кладу
И, глаза закрыв, как во сне,
Вижу я с болью твои глаза,
Когда ты сказала мне: «Нет».
Вижу тебя, уходящую вдаль,
Вдаль от меня навек…

И долго у камня я стоял,
И страдал все сильней и сильней.
И вдруг я понял, что камень тот
Стал как будто белей.
И еле руки я оторвал,
И чувствую: боль не уйдёт.
Наверно слезами и горем злым
Переполнился камень тот.

Сидел я долго у камня того
А слезы текли по лицу.
А море шумело, и ветер крепчал,
И день подходил к концу…
А ты, а ты – всегда во мне,
Моей жизни печальный полет.
Вся боль и вся печаль о тебе
Лишь вместе со мной умрет…
