Групповой портрет корпорации амстердамских стрелков

В XVI веке в нидерландской портретной живописи возникает групповой портрет, в дальнейшем получивший широкое распространение на севере страны. Появление группового портрета связано с ростом самосознания бюргеров и формированием у них чувства общности сословных и деловых интересов.
Одним из основоположников группового портрета был Дирк Якобс. Эрмитажный "Групповой портрет корпорации амстердамских стрелков" из коллекции графа Брюля - раннее произведение этого жанра. На картине Дирка Якобса показаны члены стрелковой гильдии.
Главными функциями таких организаций были охрана общественного порядка и защита города от внешних врагов. Подобные портреты помещались в ратуше и в настоящее время редко встречаются в музейных собраниях.

Стрелки облачены в одежду своей корпорации: красно-синий плащ и черную плоскую шапочку. Их фигуры расположены в три ряда, друг над другом. В центре выделен глава гильдии в кирасе и с мушкетом в руках. На плаще одного из мужчин на переднем плане изображен орлиный коготь - эмблема корпорации.
На картине представлены люди разного возраста, внешности и темперамента, но их объединяют понимание социальной значимости своего коллектива и гордость за принадлежность к нему.

Стремление запечатлеть на одном холсте как можно больше лиц продиктовано практичностью заказчиков - известно, что оплата групповых портретов, заказываемых гильдиями, производилась каждым портретируемым отдельно, и величина платы зависела от размещения; самым дорогим был первый план. Мастерство Дирка Якобса проявилось в умении дать индивидуальный психологический портрет каждого изображенного.

The appearance of a group portrait is due to the growth of the self-consciousness of the burghers and the formation of the feelings of the generality of class and business interests.
One of the founders of the group portrait was Dirk Jacobs. Hermitage "group portrait of the Corporation of Amsterdam's shooters" from the Collection of Count Brulya is an early product of this genre. On the picture of the Dirgon Jacobs show the members of the rifle guild.
The main functions of such organizations were the protection of public order and protection of the city from external enemies. Similar portraits were placed in the town hall and are now rarely found in museum collections.
