Когда-то на этой земле танцевали слоны.
Мохнатые эти слоны были обречены.
Теперь же стоит одинокий бетонный завод.
На этом заводе написано: только вперёд.
И вот мы глядим из окна, невозможный мой кот.
Нас видят с тобою луна и бетонный завод.
Луна и завод познакомились в тридцать шестом.
А мы и подавно недавно на свете живём.
Всё дальше и дальше живём, вопрошаем окно:
Ужели они танцевали под этой луной?
Ужель мы всё дальше и дальше от этих слонов?
И звёзды похожи на сонмы танцующих снов. -

И смеются слоны.
Ты пристально смотришь на что-то своё вдалеке.

А раньше они танцевали под этой луной,
