AENEAS
Behold, upon my bending spear
A monster's head stands bleeding,
With tushes far exceeding
Those did Venus' huntsman tear.
DIDO
The skies are clouded, hark! how thunder
Rends the mountain oaks a sunder.
AENEAS
Behold, upon my bending spear
A monster's head stands bleeding,
With tushes far exceeding
Those did Venus' huntsman tear.
DIDO
The skies are clouded, hark! how thunder
Rends the mountain oaks a sunder.
Aeneas (to Dido)
Look, Dido, wild beast
with the fangs of an angry boar
lay down at our feet
he is not terrible now.
DIDON.
Wait! Howling of the wind.
Thunder! Thunder!
What an ominous gloom descended on the earth!
