Te Deum (лат. Te Deum laudamus — «Тебя, Бога, хвалим») — христианский гимн (поэтический текст). По преданию, написан в конце IV века Амвросием Медиоланским. В православном богослужении тот же текст известен как «Тебе Бога хвалим». Распевы (мелодии) этого текста у католиков и православных разные. В истории музыки более известен григорианский распев третьего тона (дата создания неизвестна, предположительно во время Каролингского Возрождения) — католический гимн, который неоднократно обрабатывался различными европейскими композиторами.

Te Deum ( Lat . Te Deum laudamus - « You, God , praise ") - a Christian hymn ( poetic text ) . According to legend, written at the end of the IV century Ambrose . In Orthodox worship the same text known as " praise Thee, O Lord ." Chants ( melody ) of the text in different Catholics and Orthodox .
