Charles Hardin Holley, known as Buddy Holly (English Buddy Holly.) (September 7, 1936 - February 3, 1959) - American singer and songwriter, one of the pioneers of rock and roll. Although his success lasted only a year and a half, until he was killed in a plane crash, the critic Bruce Eder described his personality as "the most influential creative force in early rock and roll [1]"
His innovations in the creation of the strongest way influenced in equal measure both contemporaries and subsequent generations of artists, including The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and key affected the further development of pop music.
Holly was among the first included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. In 2004, according to the magazine Rolling Stone, Buddy Holly got the 13th place in the list of "Fifty Greatest Artists of All Time."
