Heavenwood — "португальский Paradise Lost"! Группа образовалась в 1992 году и на Massacre Records выпустила два очень популярных альбома Diva (1996) и Swallow (1998). Группа выступала на одной сцене с такими музыкантами, как In Flames, Atrocity, Theatre of Tragedy, Lake of Tears, Cradle Of Filth, Moonspell. Альбом Swallow был огромным шагом вперёд — его записал Gerhard Magin (Creamatory, Atrocity) при участии приглашенных вокалистов Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray) и Liv Kristine (Theatre OF Tragedy). После ошеломляющего выступления на Waken Open Air группа отправляется в европейское турне с Atrocity, Solitude Aeturnus и Saviour Machine. О них пишут Metal Hammer и Rock Hard, а Terrorizer ставит им 4 балла из 5 за последний альбом и провозглашает "откровением". Но с 2001 по 2003 возникают постоянные проблемы с составом, и только в октябре 2003 года происходит возвращение группы на сцену в португальском Live Rock Club. Польский художник Wojtek Blasiak (Moonspell, Vader) разрабатывает им новый логотип, и к 2008 году группа готовит свой очередной альбом под названием Redemption. Запись прошла в Ultrasound Studios при участии Daniel Cardoso (продюсер и музыкант SiriuS, Ramp, Head Control System, Ava Inferi, Vertigo Steps, The Firstborn, The SymphOnyx, W.A.K.O., Audy Braur, Oblique Rain et al. Furthermore, Re:aktor). Сведение и мастеринг делал Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Amon Amarth, Katatonia, Paradise Lost) в Fascination Street Studios в Orebro, Sweden. На новом диске Heavenwood в качестве гостя задействован фронтмен Ocean of Sadness Tijs Vanneste, а также Gus G (Firewind, Mystic Prophecy, Nightrage, Arch Enemy и Dream Evil) и Jeff Waters (Annihilator, After Forever, Destruction). Альбом выпущен в Португалии местным лейблом Recital Records, в России — Irond.

Heavenwood - "Portuguese Paradise Lost"! The group was formed in 1992 and at Massacre Records released two very popular Diva albums (1996) and Swallow (1998). The group performed on the same scene with such musicians as in flames, Atrocity, Theater Of Tragedy, Lake Of Tears, Cradle of Filth, Moonspell. Swallow's album was a huge step forward - he was recorded by Gerhard Magin (Creamatory, Atrocity) with the participation of invited vocalists Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray) and LIV Kristine (Theater of Tragedy). After a stunning speech at Waken Open Air, the group goes to the European tour with ATRocity, Solitude Aeturnus and Saviour Machine. Metal Hammer and Rock Hard write about them, and Terrorizer puts them 4 points out of 5 for the last album and proclaims "Revelation". But from 2001 to 2003, constant problems arise with the composition, and only in October 2003 the group returns to the scene in Portuguese Live Rock Club. The Polish artist Wojtek Blasiak (Moonspell, Vader) is developing them a new logo, and by 2008 the group prepares its next album called Redemption. Furthermore, Re: Aktor). Mixing and mastering did Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Amon Amarth, Katatonia, Paradise Lost) in Fasc Content Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden. Ocean of Sadness Tijs Vanneste is involved in the new drive Heavenwood as a guest, and Gus G (FireWind, Mystic Prophecy, Nightrage, Arch Enemy and Dream Evil) and Jeff Waters (Annihilator, After Forever, Destruction). The album was released in Portugal by the local label Recital Records, in Russia - Irond.
