Интересные факты об альбоме Earth Moving

Earth Moving - это 12-й студийный альбом Майка Олдфилда. Майк пригласил нескольких вокалистов для записи альбома, в том числе свою тогдашнюю девушку Аниту Хегерланд. Earth Moving записан в основном с помощью синтезаторов. Этот альбом стал первым, где отсутствуют длинные инструментальные композиции, столь характерные для Майка Олдфилда. Interesting facts about the album Earth Moving

Earth Moving - this is the 12th studio album by Mike Oldfield. Mike invited some singers to record an album, including his then-girl Anita Hegerland. Earth Moving recorded mainly by synthesizers. This album was the first where there are no long instrumental tracks, so characteristic of Mike Oldfield. All tracks are pop or rock songs with vocals.

According to Mike Oldfield, his record company Virgin demanded from him a more commercially-directed album than his previous works. After recording, Earth Moving, Mike wanted to record an album without any help of computer technology, using only real instruments and "live" musicians. All this resulted in his next album, Amarok.

In an interview with the television program Good Morning Britain, Mike Oldfield and Anita Hegerland said that when creating the songs Innocent they were inspired by his little daughter Greta, who also appeared in the music video for this song.
