При этом, его всегда легко различить среди современного музыкального изобилия — благодаря филигранному сочетанию расслабляющих мелодий и заряжающего энергией ритма. В очередной раз этот факт подтверждает новейший альбом Solarstone — "Rain Stars Eternal".

История Solarstone берет корни в далёком 1995 году, когда Рич Моуэтт (Rich Mowatt), клавишник малоизвестной британской группы Emission, знакомится с диск-жокеем местной пиратской радиостанции Энди Бэри (Andy Bury). Вдохновлённый новейшими музыкальными течениями, носящий длинные дрэды и подрабатывающий мастером в пирсинг-салоне Рич — просто звонил на станцию во время эфира Энди, чтобы под видом фаната заказать последнюю работу своего коллектива. Стандартный трюк, но в последствии этот звонок стал судьбоносным для обоих.

Разговорившись, Рич и Энди нашли множество точек соприкосновения. Как выяснилось, они любили проводить время в одном и том же ночном клубе, их пристрастия и вкусы в электронной музыке полностью совпадали. Более того, Энди Бэри даже относил себя к поклонникам группы Рича — Emission. Вскоре после личного знакомства, Энди представляет Рича своему приятелю, андерграундному саунд-продюсеру Сэму Тайни (Sam Tierney), и все трое решают собраться вместе в студии. Так родился первый мини-альбом "Aquanaut E.P", который под именем The Space Kittens был выпущен собственными силами на специально созданном лейбле Sunflower Vibes.

Попав в руки всемогущему Питу Тонгу (Pete Tong), треки мини-альбома моментально оказались в эфире BBC Radio 1. Не без его протекции, наиболее сильная работа пластинки, "Storm", была подписана к изданию на легендарном британском лейбле Hooj Choons. Дебютный сингл достиг 47-го места в национальном чарте — отнюдь не плохой результат для хаус-трека. Троицу заметили, и закономерно засыпали заказами на ремиксы. В числе первых, хаус-обработку от "космических котят" получили композиции поп-звёзд Джимми Соммервиля (Jimmy Sommerville, солист группы Bronski Beat), Human League и Лайзы Мориш (Lisa Moorish).

Спустя некоторое время, в результате долгих экспериментов в студии родился трек "The Calling" — одна из первых композиций, сочетавшая ломаный ритм и мотивы набирающего обороты популярности транса. Red Jerry, глава Hooj Choons, моментально охарактеризовал композицию как "опережающую своё время". Поскольку новый звук троицы значительно отличался от предыдущих работ, выпускать трек было целесообразно под новым именем. Несмотря на настоятельное требование лейбла назвать проект "The Pleasure Tendency" (только представьте себе это название рядом с легендарными композициями!), Рич, Энди и Сэм остановились на имени "Solarstone".

Снова — успех в чартах, новые рекруты в армии фанатов коллектива, позитивные отзывы критиков из ведущих музыкальных журналов. И снова парни сосредотачиваются на ремиксах: новое, революционное звучание обретают легендарные композиции "Cafe del Mar" от Energy 52, "Home" от Chakra, и несколько других. The history of Solarstone takes roots in 1995, when Rich Moweatt (Rich Mowatt), a keyboard player of the Little-known British group of Emission, meets with Disc-Jockey Local Pirate Radio Station Andy Bury. Inspired by the latest musical currents, wearing long Drands and the Master in the Piercing Salon Rich - simply called the station during Andy's broadcast, so that under the guise of a fan order the last work of his team. Standard trick, but later this call has become a fateful for both.

Talking, Rich and Andy found many points of contact. As it turned out, they loved spending time in the same nightclub, their addictions and tastes in electronic music completely coincided. Shortly after a personal acquaintance, Andy represents Richa to his friend, the SAM TIERNEY under-producer (Sam Tierney), and all three decide to get together in the studio. This was born the first mini-album "Aquanaut E.P", which under the name The Space Kittens was released on its own on a specially created Sunflower Vibes label.

Having got into the hands of the Almighty Pete Tong (Pete Tong), the tracks of the mini-album were instantly on the air BBC Radio 1. Not without his protection, the strongest work of the record, "Storm" was signed to the publication on the legendary British label Hooj Choons. The debut single reached the 47th place in the National Chart - by no means a bad result for a house track. The trinity was noticed, and naturally covered with orders for remixes. Despite the actual requirement of the label to name the project "The Pleasure Tendency" (just imagine this name next to the legendary compositions!), Rich, Andy and Sam stopped on the name "Solarstone".

Again - success in charts, new recruits in the army of the team fans, positive reviews of critics from leading music magazines. And again the guys focus on remixes: a new, revolutionary sound acquire the legendary compositions "Cafe Del Mar" from Energy 52, "Home" from Chakra, and several others. Together with many subsequent works of Solarstone, these tracks are still regularly reprinted, fade by new versions, flashed almost every second CD-selection of "dance classics".

1999 comes, and the team carries the first loss. Guys create several other space projects, in which various styles and directions are trying, but do not reach commercial success with them. As a result, it was decided to concentrate on the most successful sound - a combination of trance, chill-out and other styles: SOLARSTONE sound. Sam secretly categorically disagree with such a turn of events, and leaves the team.
