Вокалист Кенни Шилдс начал музыкальную карьеру в 60-х годах, возглавив команду "Witness Incorporated". В 1981 году "Atlantic Records" выкинула в продажу сборник "Best Of Streetheart", а группа тем временем сменила гитариста на Джеффа Нила. С его помощью "Streetheart" выпустили одноименный альбом, ставший их самым большим коммерческим достижением. Работа содержала целый ворох хитов ("Miss Plaza Suite", "What Kind Of Love Is This", "Snow White", "Look In Your Eyes", "One More Time"), а ее тираж дважды пересекал платиновую отметку. К сожалению, закрепить успех не удалось, и студийник 1983 года "Dancing With Danger" оказался провальным. В честь этого события "Capitol Records" выпустила сборник ауттэйков и анрелизов "Buried Treasure", а спустя пять лет фирма состряпала еще одну компиляцию, "Over 60 Minutes With... Streetheart" (полустудийник-полуконцертник). В 2003 году состоялось введение "Streetheart" в "Western Canadian Hall of Fame" и после этого события Шилдс, Гатхейл и Нил при участии новых музыкантов возродили проект.

Vocalist Kenny Shields began his musical career in the 60s, heading the Witness Incorpored team. This group actively toured Canada, performed along with Cream and Roem orbison and released several single. The team was on the rise when Shields hit a car accident and left the game for several years. Ken completely recovered by the mid-70s, but, having recovered, he immediately returned to his favorite business. After several falseters, he revived Wintess Inc with the participation of Ken Spider Sinnave, Daryl Gatheil and Craig Kalila. The team had already begun to tour, as Paul Dean and Matt Frenette appeared on Shields's path. Acquaintance with these musicians led to the closure of the previous project and the creation of a new one under the name "Streetheart" in its place.

For a couple of years, “street hearts” spent on concerts and the conquest of the audience, and in 1978 they debuted with the album “Meanwhile Back in Paris”. The record, published on Atlantic Records, caused good responses, but the team made the first serious breakthrough with the single "Under My Thumb".

This song, borrowed from the Rolling Stones repertoire, entered the national top 5, and the minion received a gold status. Meanwhile, Dean went to organize "Loverboy", and on the second album "Streetheart" in the guitarists was already listed John Hannah. "Under Heaven Over Hell" became Platinov in Canada thanks to hits such as "Hollywood", "Here Comes The Night" and the same "Under My Thumb". However, the fluctuation continued in the composition and soon escaped at Loverboy, Frenette replaced Herb Ego. The “Quicksand Shoes” disc recorded by the updated composition contained good material, but due to the lack of bright hits, the work reached only the gold mark.

Of course, the musicians did not please a decrease in sales and, having moved under the roof of the Capitol Records, they took up the production of the next album on their own. As a result, such solid things as “Tin Soldier”, “Trouble”, “Teenage Rage” were born, and Longpley itself brought the team a third platinum.

In 1981, "Atlantic Records" threw on sale the collection "Best of Streetheart", and the group, meanwhile, changed the guitarist to Jeff Nile. With its help, "Streetheart" released the album of the same name, which became their largest commercial achievement. The work contained a whole pile of hits ("Miss Plaza Suite", "What Kind of Love Is this", "Snow White", "Look in your Eyes", "One More Time"), and its circulation twice crossed a platinum mark. Unfortunately, it was not possible to consolidate success, and the 1983 studio "Dancing with Danger" turned out to be a failure. Attempts to win the American market also suffered a fiasco, and after the release of the double concert "Live After Dark" the group broke up.

In honor of this event, Capitol Records issued a collection of outlets and anries Burved Treasure, and five years later the company concocted another compilation, “Over 60 Minutes with ... Streetheart”. In 2003, the “Streetheart” was introduced into “Western Canadian Hall of Fame” and after this event Schilds, Gatheil and Neil revived the project with the participation of new musicians.
